Peer Review Process
Strategic Management Business Journal (SMBJ) uses an online submit and review system. Submissions and peer review of each article should be managed using this system and based on the Peer Review Policy.
The Editorial Board of the Strategic Management Business Journal (SMBJ) is responsible for selecting papers and selecting reviewers.
Articles must normally be reviewed by at least two independent reviewers.
The reviewer does not know the identity of the author, and the author also does not know the identity of the reviewer (double blind review)
The review process will consider novelty, objectivity, methods, scientific impact, conclusions and references.
The final decision on acceptance of the manuscript will be made by the Editorial Board in accordance with the critical comments of the reviewers.
The Editorial Board of the Strategic Management Business Journal (SMBJ) must protect the confidentiality of all materials submitted to the journal and all communications with reviewers.
Review Results
Utilizing feedback from the peer review process, the Editor will make the final publication decision. The review process includes:
- Reject - Rejected manuscripts will not be published and authors will not have the opportunity to resubmit the revised version of the manuscript to the Strategic Management Business Journal (SMBJ).
- Resubmit for Review – Submission needs to be reworked, but with significant changes, may be accepted. However, that will require a second round of review.
- Accept with Revision - Manuscripts that accept the decision to accept-pending-revision will be published in the Strategic Management Business Journal (SMBJ) with the condition that minor/major modifications are made.
